About this opportunity

Metroparks Toledo (Metropolitan Park District of the Toledo Area) is requesting proposals for comprehensive Information Technology Managed Support Services under an RFP with proposals due August 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST. The contract term is three years with annual service satisfaction evaluations determining continuation into years two and three; go-live is required April 1, 2027, aligned with the current managed services contract expiration in March 2027.

The scope encompasses 24/7 monitoring and break/fix support for WAN components, Internet services, firewalls, wireless controllers, LAN infrastructure, and servers across approximately 190 end-user computing devices and 35 distributed printers distributed across 53 office and activity sites throughout northwest Ohio. The bidder must proactively monitor and identify disruptions, directly manage communications with the Internet Service Provider during outages, furnish disaster recovery planning procedures, provide strategic analysis and long-term technology planning, deliver help desk and preventative maintenance services, conduct cybersecurity assessments, and manage hardware and software upgrades. Backup and disaster recovery services via Datto SIRIS 5 appliance are excluded and remain with the current third-party provider. The bidder will coordinate with New Era Technology, which retains a Secure Blue ER (Managed Detection and Response) services contract through March 2027.

Bidders must hold manufacturer accreditations from Hewlett Packard, Cisco, and VMware and maintain minimum staffing of certified personnel in Microsoft 365, Azure, Fortinet, Cisco, VMware, and security disciplines. Proposals must include firm, fixed annual pricing for all three years and comprehensive Service Level Agreements covering response, resolution, escalation, and after-hours commitments. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability ($2 million general aggregate), Comprehensive Automobile Liability ($1 million per occurrence), and Data Breach and Cyber Liability Insurance ($1 million per breach). The contract is contingent upon annual budget appropriation by Metroparks Toledo, with termination allowed without penalty if funding is not approved. Metroparks reserves the right to conduct site visits and interviews with selected bidders prior to award. All materials, documentation, and credentials produced during the contract term become property of Metroparks Toledo and must be delivered in full upon termination.
