About this opportunity

Queen Anne's County Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting proposals for an exclusive mobile concession permit at Matapeake Beach and Clubhouse in Stevensville, Maryland, with bids due November 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. An optional virtual pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.

The permit grants exclusive rights to operate a mobile food truck at 2010 Sonny Schulz Boulevard during the season from May 8 through September 28, 2026. Mandatory operating hours are weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; weekday hours are at the vendor's discretion. Weekend positioning is inside the gate at Matapeake Clubhouse with estimated foot traffic around 500 people; weekdays the truck parks in the front lot with hours from sunrise to sunset. The County seeks family-friendly food pricing and menu items and prohibits alcohol sales. The vendor must maintain a Queen Anne's County Health Department Food License and a Certificate of Insurance, provide all trash disposal within a 50-foot radius, handle all advertising, and maintain visible permits and licenses at all times. No electric or water will be supplied by the facility.

The minimum bid amount is $750.00. Award goes to the highest bidder who submits all required documentation, subject to County Commissioners approval. In case of a tie, tiebreakers are local vendor preference, variety of menu items, and availability. The winning bidder must pay the full bid amount via cash or credit card within 20 days of notification. No refunds or prorations apply if the winning bidder cancels. Submissions require the bid proposal form, Certificate of Insurance, and Health Department Food License in a sealed envelope delivered to 1945 4-H Park Road, Centreville, Maryland.
