About this opportunity
Bristol Community College, an agency of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is issuing a Request for Proposal to procure comprehensive Slate platform consulting services. The procurement seeks a qualified consulting firm with extensive, demonstrable experience in the Slate student information system to conduct a technical and process diagnostic of the College's institutional Slate instance. The required deliverables include detailed analysis of integrations, automations, communications, workflows, permissions, and reporting structures, with specific focus on field and prompt configuration, form and event setup, communications technical review, rules assessment, period and round structures, materials and checklist configuration, reader and workflow evaluation, decision processes, reporting alignment, integration and export functionality, and security audits. The engagement must include a post-diagnostic cross-functional workshop to guide institutional decision-making. The service must be completed within an eight-week diagnostic window with minimal onboarding time, as the College prepares for a Banner SaaS transition. Proposals are due by 2:00 p.m. on April 24, 2026, with contract award anticipated by May 13, 2026, and service commencement on June 1, 2026. Evaluation criteria include compliance with submission requirements (pass/fail), overall responsiveness and quality (30 points), experience with Slate (20 points), expertise in diagnosing and implementing remediation strategies (20 points), firm reputation and installed base (10 points), relevant comparable experience (10 points), and total price (10 points).
No set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises or restrictions on respondent types are identified in the RFP. No incumbent vendor is identified for this engagement. The College is exempt from federal and Massachusetts sales taxes, and all labor must comply with Massachusetts minimum wage rates and health and welfare provisions under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149. The RFP does not specify a total contract value or pricing structure; pricing is evaluated as one of ten evaluation criteria weighted at up to 10 points out of 100 total possible points. Bristol Community College reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, negotiate terms and conditions with the successful bidder, and select the vendor determined most appropriate for the project. This diagnostic engagement is being undertaken to ensure system reliability and data integrity prior to the College's broader ERP modernization initiatives.
