About this opportunity
The County of Los Angeles Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS) is seeking proposals for the Dispute Resolution Program (DRP) Services through a Request for Proposal (RFP) released on February 4, 2019. The DRP aims to provide county residents with an alternative dispute resolution mechanism that avoids court proceedings by utilizing trained volunteers to help disputants resolve conflicts efficiently and cost-effectively. The program encompasses three distinct service categories: Community, Day of Hearing Civil Court, and Restorative Justice services. Potential proposers are invited to attend an optional Proposers' Conference on February 11, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the WDACS location in Los Angeles. Proposals are due on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with all questions and communications to be submitted via email to DRPRFP@wdacs.lacounty.gov. Interested parties can access detailed RFP information through the WDACS website's procurement section, and additional resources are available at county libraries for those requiring internet access.
While specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the RFP suggests a comprehensive approach to dispute resolution services that may be open to various qualified organizational proposers. The solicitation indicates a robust program with multiple service categories, implying potential for substantial service delivery and community impact. Parking accommodations are available through pre-reserved spots in the county's parking structure and metered street parking, demonstrating logistical support for potential bidders. The RFP's comprehensive approach and structured submission process suggest a competitive procurement with potentially significant value, though specific budget ranges or award values are not specified in the current documentation. Interested organizations should carefully review the full RFP details and prepare comprehensive proposals that address the three distinct service categories of Community, Day of Hearing Civil Court, and Restorative Justice services.
