Opportunity text
The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking quotes for the removal of trees near Lake Welch Wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). All trees within the designated area shown, an approximately 12' wide path, on the attached drawing are to be dropped. There are approximately 108 trees ranging from 3" DBH - 32" DBH (DBH - diameter at breast height 4'-6'). Site access requires clearance through an underpass. The underpass dimensions are 12 ft high and 14 ft wide (with 6" curbs on both sides). All vehicles will need to meet this clearance. If this clearance cannot be met with the equipment a different access route requiring additional clearing would have to be coordinated. Site access is primarily via a gravel road and a temporary access road to be established by Parks. A staging area can be set up at the Parks stockpile area shown on the attached drawing. Trees should be cut no more than 3' above ground surface using hand tools and equipment and vehicles with low ground pressure tracked or rubber wheels. Trees with a DBH of 18" or greater are to be stockpiled by the WWTP. Removal of the trees and debris off site is not part of this contract. All trees must be on the ground by March 31, 2027.
