About this opportunity

The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) has issued a Notice of Agency Decision to Enter into Negotiations for contract award related to Hospital Creek Bridge remediation work in St. Johns County, Florida. This is not a competitive solicitation but rather a notice of the agency's intent to negotiate with Intron Technologies, Inc. following a competitive solicitation (RFP-26-036, referenced as IN-26-090) that received fewer than two responsive proposals, thereby invoking Florida Statutes 287.057(6). The procurement seeks bridge construction and repair services, specifically remediation work on Hospital Creek Bridge, with commodity codes 72141107 (bridge construction and repair) and 95121625 (road bridge). The solicitation was advertised from January 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM through February 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Interested parties with inquiries should contact Christine Skaggs via email at skaggsc@fsdbk12.org at FSDB's office located at 207 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084; phone calls are not accepted for competitive solicitation inquiries. Protests must be filed in writing within 72 hours of the Notification of Intent to Award, with formal written protests required within ten days thereafter and subject to Florida Statutes 120.57(3) and potential protest bond requirements under Florida Statutes 28-110-005.

The documentation provided does not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or particular qualifications required for respondents. No incumbent vendor information or existing infrastructure integration requirements are detailed in the available materials. The contract award value or budget range for the Hospital Creek Bridge remediation project is not disclosed in the posted notice. Intron Technologies, Inc. has been selected as the negotiation partner for this contract; however, the final terms, conditions, and award amount will be determined through the negotiation process with FSDB.
