About this file
This is a Notice of Agency Decision to Enter into Negotiations document issued by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) regarding a competitive solicitation for bridge construction and repair services. The solicitation, originally posted as RFP-26-036 and referenced as IN-26-090, sought proposals for Hospital Creek Bridge remediation work. The advertisement was open from January 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM through February 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM. The commodities requested fall under bridge construction and repair (72141107) and road bridge categories (95121625).
FSDB received fewer than two responsive proposals in response to the solicitation and therefore invoked Florida Statutes 287.057(6), which permits the agency to negotiate contract terms and conditions when less than two responsive bids are received. The agency has selected Intron Technologies, Inc. as the negotiation partner for this contract award. Interested parties may direct inquiries to Christine Skaggs via email at skaggsc@fsdbk12.org at the FSDB office located at 207 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. Protests must be filed in writing within 72 hours of the Notification of Intent to Award, with formal written protests required within ten days thereafter and subject to Florida Statutes 120.57(3) and potential protest bond requirements.
