About this opportunity

Will County is requesting bids for installation of a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system for Runway 18/36 at Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport, with proposals due July 31, 2026.

The scope centers on PAPI system installation with comprehensive site-maintenance and traffic-control obligations throughout construction. The contractor must supply and operate vacuum-type mechanical sweepers continuously on terminal roads, airport access roads, and all pavements and adjacent areas where construction material is tracked, maintaining surfaces clear of dirt and debris at all times or as directed by the Resident Engineer. The contract plans and specification document (ildot BO008-02A.pdf) contain detailed requirements for traffic control, construction sequencing, and pavement-protection protocols.

Compliance with Standard Specifications, Contract Plans, and Special Provisions is mandatory. Failure to meet traffic control standards will result in immediate work cessation, and the contractor must correct all deficiencies to the satisfaction of the Resident Engineer and the airport owner at the contractor's expense. The Resident Engineer retains approval authority over all work and deficiency corrections throughout the project.

Place of performance is Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport in Will County, Illinois. The source does not disclose estimated contract value, contract term, incumbent contractor, evaluation criteria, or a questions-due deadline.
