About this opportunity
The State of Alabama is soliciting repair and maintenance services for In-Situ water monitoring equipment under a sole-source Quick Quote on September 17, 2026. This is a sole-source procurement — In-Situ, Inc. is the exclusive manufacturer and authorized service provider for all In-Situ branded water monitoring hardware and software, with no other entities authorized to perform repairs or maintenance.
The scope covers in-situ repair and maintenance services for mobile operations in fiscal year 2027. In-Situ, Inc. maintains direct service capabilities and does not permit third-party service providers to work on their equipment. The company provides specialized technical expertise and equipment-specific knowledge while maintaining warranty and quality standards through direct manufacturer involvement in all service activities.
The maximum contract value is $25,000 with a contract term of up to five years from the effective date. Resulting contracts may be renewed annually by written agreement of both parties. The place of performance is Mobile, Alabama.
Responses must be submitted electronically through Alabama Buys by September 17, 2026. Suppliers must be registered in Alabama Buys and certified as compliant with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, including E-Verify enrollment within five calendar days of notification. Suppliers must also be registered with the Alabama Secretary of State if foreign corporations. The State reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analyses and may request written proof of supplier qualifications including manufacturer authorizations and certificates of insurance following bid opening. Price escalation requests may be considered if material, labor, or other contract costs significantly increase; any approved increases cannot exceed 5 percent of annual contract cost and must be approved in writing by both parties. Alabama law governs the agreement with exclusive venue in Montgomery.
