About this opportunity
This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is soliciting qualified entities to provide Data Monitoring Services for two (2), 10 GB Dark Fiber Connections between the Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) headquarters building and a business continuity location. The required services include 24/7/365 monitoring of the dedicated data network, maintenance of the fiber and end point connections, and notification of planned outages. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 31, 2023, and bids are due by September 7, 2023. The anticipated contract term is four (4) years, subject to termination provisions. The evaluation criteria prioritize the price of E-Rate eligible services, the bidder's ability to fulfill the scope of work, experience providing managed dedicated services, and pricing of any ineligible products and services.
The solicitation is being issued by the Baltimore City Public Schools Office of Procurement and is open to all qualified entities. The Federal E-Rate Program will be utilized as a funding mechanism for this contract. The IFB and associated addenda do not specify any set-aside designations, restrictions on organization types, incumbent vendors, or budget ranges. The solicitation requires the successful vendor to follow BCPS's fiber splicing policies and obtain any necessary permits from the Baltimore City government to perform work in the right-of-way.
