About this opportunity
The Maryland State Highway Administration's Office of Materials Technology is seeking to procure two HP Z6 G5 A PCs and one HP Z6 TWR Base Unit G5 A workstation through a Small Business Reserve Procurement. This procurement is specifically targeted at replacing critical pavement testing and file processing workstations that are crucial for uploading, processing, and reporting mandatory pavement asset condition assessments for MDOT, SHA, MDTA, and the Federal Highway Administration's Highway Performance Monitoring System. The solicitation is limited to Master Contractors under the Desktop, Laptop, and Tablet 2015 Master Contract (060B5400007), with detailed technical specifications outlined in the bid form. The procurement requires new, unused equipment with precise configuration options, including processors ranging from AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7965WX to 7975WX, memory configurations from 128GB to 512GB DDR5, and various graphics card options. The proposal is due on May 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm EDT, with pricing to remain valid for 90 days and vendors required to provide estimated ship dates and a screenshot of the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price.
The contract is exclusively reserved for certified small business vendors, with a clear set-aside designation that restricts participation to qualifying small businesses. The procurement allows for potential variation in purchase quantity, with the state reserving the right to buy more or less than the specified amount, subject to funding limitations. Both workstation configurations include comprehensive warranty options, specifically a 1/1/1 warranty (material/labor/onsite) and a 4-year HP Active Care Next Business Day Response Onsite Workstation Hardware Support. Invoicing will be handled on a one-time or annual basis, with the first year's invoice due within 30 days of contract start and subsequent years billed on the anniversary of the first invoice. While the exact award value is not explicitly stated, the procurement involves high-performance computing equipment with advanced specifications, suggesting a potentially significant investment in technological infrastructure for pavement testing and file processing capabilities.
Opportunity text
The Office of Materials Technology is requesting the purchase of (2) two HP Z6 G5 A PCs and (1) one HP Z6 TWR Base Unit G5 A 1125W/1275W RCTO. These PCs will replace the existing pavement and Aran pavement test file processing and uploading workstation #1 due to the normal MDOT OIT replacement cycle and the expiration of warranties. Without this purchase, existing PC failure will prevent uploading, processing and reporting of annually required MDOT (SHA and MDTA) and Federal Highway Administration's Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) mandatory required pavement asset condition assessments.
