Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is requesting bids for hurricane repairs and improvements to its government building at 1015 Pithon Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana, with bids due October 21, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. Central Time. The pre-bid conference was held September 23, 2026; Addendum No. 1 was issued September 28, 2026 and must be acknowledged on the bid form or the bid is subject to disqualification.

The scope includes removal and replacement of exterior ACM panels; the complete exterior curtainwall system with new structural steel reinforcement; standing seam metal roofing, gutters, and downspouts; interior repairs to rooms at the exterior perimeter of floors three and four; replacement of stairwell rated ceiling assemblies and acoustical ceiling systems at stairwells 402 and 403; basement repairs; and contractor costs to remove, store, and reset all building furniture across all floors. Alternate No. 2 addresses provision of 5/8" MMR Type X Gypsum Board at floors three and four in lieu of standard 5/8" Gypsum Board.

Addendum No. 1 identifies approved manufacturers and products, including Livers Bronze Linear Railing System for exterior railings, Metpar Phenolic Partitions manufactured by Scranton Products, US Frame Factory for cold-formed exterior metal stud framing, and CertainTeed products for acoustical tile ceiling systems. The contractor must employ a Construction Materials Testing and Inspection Company at contractor expense, with all retesting costs borne by the contractor if work fails compliance. Service shutdowns — electrical, water, sewer, or other — must be scheduled with the owner a minimum of 14 days in advance and performed outside normal business hours. HVAC commissioning requirements apply, with detailed responsibilities for the general contractor, mechanical contractor, and commissioning agent regarding pre-functional checklists and functional performance testing.
