About this opportunity
The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is requesting proposals for site survey services at Wachusett Mountain State Reservation in Princeton, Massachusetts, with proposals due May 22, 2026 at 5 p.m. through Commbuys.
The scope comprises a comprehensive boundary survey of approximately 2,063 linear feet to establish correct property lines between DCR ownership and adjacent properties, clarify ownership questions, and identify encroachments. The selected vendor must set iron pins or alternative monumentation at all corners and angle points, locate existing monuments, prepare a survey plan compliant with Registry of Deeds regulations and EEA Land Acquisition Policy specifications (dated January 6, 2015, with noted exceptions for items 4 and 9), and record the final plan with the Worcester Registry of Deeds. The vendor must also flag all monuments, identify easements and rights of way, and provide latitude and longitude coordinates for all corners in degrees, minutes, and seconds format. Deliverables include one mylar copy and four paper copies of the survey map. All work must be completed by June 15, 2026.
Evaluation will be based on references on file with the Commonwealth, previous experience with the Commonwealth, and price. Questions are due May 13, 2026, with answers provided by May 15, 2026. No pre-bid walkthrough is scheduled.
Prior to work commencement, the selected contractor must review the project and work schedule with DCR contact Joelle Vautour at joelle.vautour@mass.gov or 617-429-8683. Vendors must submit a Massachusetts Substitute Form W-9 and provide a Unique Entity Identifier registered in SAM if receiving federal grant funds.
DCR reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes, contract with some or none of the responding vendors, or cancel the RFP in its entirety. The agency does not commit to approve any Statement of Work or pay costs for bid preparation.
