About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is procuring statewide infrastructure support services to aid in the recruitment and retention of foster and adoptive parents, as well as the direct operation of the Foster Parent Allegation Support Team (FAST) Helpline. The service being sought includes critical foster and adoptive parent recruitment and retention efforts, statewide and local services for foster and adoptive parents, and management of the FAST Helpline. The intended single source for this 2-year contract is the Florida State/Foster Adoptive Parent Association, Inc. (FloridaFAPA), the only statewide membership group that automatically registers all foster and adoptive parents in Florida. DCF has determined that FloridaFAPA possesses the necessary expertise and reach to successfully provide the required statewide and local services, including travel to meetings, publication of newsletters, and recruitment and retention efforts for foster and adoptive parents. The estimated annual value of the contract is $172,364.
This is a single source procurement, as DCF has determined that FloridaFAPA is the sole provider capable of delivering the required services statewide. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the type of organization that can respond. FloridaFAPA is the incumbent vendor and currently provides these services. The contract will require integration with existing DCF infrastructure and technology to support the FAST Helpline operation and foster/adoptive parent services.
