About this opportunity

The City of San Leandro is requesting bids for the Fixed Film Reactor Removal Project 2026.6010, with proposals due October 28, 2026. The scope includes dismantling existing fixed film reactors (trickling filters), removing and recycling all steel and concrete elements, and managing approximately 4,900 cubic yards of plastic filter media that tests positive for lead.

The contractor must construct a double-lined on-site storage area of at least 22,000 square feet, including cover liner and perimeter erosion controls, for temporary stacking of the lead-positive filter media; this storage area remains in place upon project completion. The contractor is also responsible for regrading the fixed film reactor area plus an additional 50-foot radius to create a level surface and placing a 3-inch lift of uniform grey rock. Removal and final disposal of the filter media will occur under a separate contract awarded later, establishing a phased project approach.

The bid notice does not specify contract value, contract term, set-asides or local preferences, pre-bid or site-visit dates, question deadlines, or evaluation criteria. No incumbent contractor is identified.
