About this opportunity
The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) is seeking executive coaching services for its newly promoted Executive Director, Eric Dundee, through a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued on March 26, 2025. The procurement is specifically focused on securing a certified executive coach to support leadership transition, with proposals due by 11:00 a.m. CDT on Friday, April 18, 2025. The desired contract period spans from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, with an anticipated 12-month engagement featuring more intensive coaching during the first six months. Proposers must have International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification and demonstrate experience working with public-sector, utility, and/or non-profit executives. Evaluation criteria will include methodology and approach (25%), qualifications and experience (25%), references (20%), and proposed budget (30%). Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted to rfp@madsewer.org by 4:00 p.m. CDT on Friday, April 11, 2025, with potential addenda posted on the district's website by Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
The RFP does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Travel reimbursement is limited to mileage within a 75-mile radius of the district, calculated at the current IRS mileage rate. While no specific budget is predetermined, MMSD expects coaching costs to align with the project's scope and timeline. The selection will be conducted by a scoring committee, with potential interviews to further assess applicants, and the resulting contract will be structured as a "not-to-exceed" agreement. Meetings between the coach and Executive Director can be conducted in-person or through hybrid arrangements, providing flexibility for service delivery. All proposal responses will be considered public record, and MMSD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive technicalities in the selection process.
