About this opportunity
Escambia County Department of Human Resources (Alabama) is soliciting fixed-price quotations for carpet beetle treatment services with a mandatory site visit on September 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and responses due September 10, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
The scope comprises two coordinated treatments: one prior to removal of existing carpeting and a second following installation of new flooring. The supplier must coordinate treatment dates with designated DHR staff and perform all work in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local pest control regulations. The supplier provides pre-treatment preparation instructions and communicates occupancy restrictions or reentry requirements. The supplier must submit a single fixed-price quotation covering both treatments, with all labor, materials, chemicals, equipment, transportation, and associated costs included. Complete eradication of carpet beetles is not guaranteed due to the possibility of beetles existing outside carpeted areas or being reintroduced from other sources. Additional treatments beyond the two specified require separate procurement and prior written authorization.
The location is Brewton, Alabama. Payment terms are Net 30, with payment due within 30 days of receipt of a correct invoice and completion of services. No work shall commence until the supplier receives appropriate authorization to proceed. The contact person is Kristin Boyette.
This is a Quick Quotes solicitation under Alabama Office of the Chief Procurement Officer standard terms. Suppliers must be registered in Alabama Buys and participate electronically through the Public Solicitation site. Any resulting contract may be renewed annually by written agreement, up to a total contract cost of $25,000 (including the original agreement and any subsequent renewals) or a total time period of five years from the effective date. Suppliers must comply with E-Verify enrollment verification if employing workers in Alabama, Alabama sales tax certification, and Alabama Secretary of State registration if a foreign corporation. Suppliers must accept multiple forms of electronic payment at no additional cost, including state-issued credit cards, P-cards, and EFT. The State reserves the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis and may approve price escalation requests not exceeding 5 percent of annual contract cost if justified by documented increases in materials, labor, or other components aligned with industry-specific price indices or the Consumer Price Index.
