About this opportunity

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is requesting bids for pump station mechanical, structural, and controls upgrades at two facilities — the Conveyance Pump Station and the Diversion Pump Station — with bids due July 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM via Bonfire, and a non-mandatory pre-bid conference on July 8 at 10:00 AM.

The scope encompasses replacement of exhaust fans at both pump stations, HVAC system improvements for electrical rooms at both facilities, construction of a new access road to the Diversion Pump Station intake screen access platform, demolition of the abandoned flow meter vault at the Conveyance Pump Station, and trash rake controls upgrades at the Diversion Pump Station. Work is performed at two locations: the Conveyance Pump Station (575 FM 3039, Combine, TX 75159) and the Diversion Pump Station (3999 Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159).

The estimated total bid price ranges from $1.5 million to $2.4 million. The contract term is 540 days from Notice to Proceed for completion and readiness for final payment, with substantial completion required within 480 days. Liquidated damages are $1,100 per day for delays beyond the substantial completion date and final completion date. Progress payments are made at 95 percent of work completed with 5 percent retainage until substantial completion.

Award will be based on the lowest responsive bid from a qualified bidder. All bids must include a bid bond from a surety acceptable on federal bonds and remain valid for 90 days following bid opening. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance coverage are required prior to contract execution. Contractors must comply with prevailing wage requirements for Tarrant County and multiple Texas state compliance requirements including prohibitions on boycotting Israel, energy companies, and firearms entities, and restrictions on prohibited technologies.

Written questions must be submitted through Bonfire no later than 5:00 PM on July 10, 2026. Electronic bids must be submitted through Bonfire at ntmwd.bonfirehub.com.
