About this opportunity

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids on depth patching and resurfacing services for District 6 under IFB 5400030135, with offers due October 9, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. and questions due September 24 at 12:00 p.m. The contract runs three years from November 2, 2026 through November 1, 2029 with annual renewal options.

The scope encompasses 3-inch full-depth patching, 6-inch full-depth patching, 2-inch variable milling and overlay, and intersection resurfacing at various locations across Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, and Jasper Counties in District 6. All work must comply with the 2025 SCDOT Standard Specifications for Highway Construction and applicable traffic control standards. Pricing shall be submitted on a unit-price basis for each line item; contractors must multiply offered unit prices by estimated quantities to determine total evaluated price for each year. Estimated quantities are provided for bid evaluation only and do not guarantee minimum purchases. All pricing must include mobilization, traffic control, materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals.

Contractors must be registered as South Carolina vendors and hold all required licenses and permits. Minimum insurance requirements include comprehensive general liability, auto liability, and workers' compensation coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence. No preferences apply. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Award notification is anticipated October 23, 2026. Bid opening is public and may be attended virtually via dial-in access. No pre-bid conference is scheduled. The solicitation is exempt pursuant to South Carolina Code Section 11-35-710(1).
