About this opportunity
The City of Daytona Beach, Florida, Department of Public Works is requesting bids on continuing brick masonry maintenance, repair, and installation services for city and county roads, sidewalks, ADA transitions, and crosswalks under ITB #2664, with bids due September 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. A local-vendor preference applies to businesses maintaining a permanent place of business with full-time employees within city limits for a minimum of six months prior to bid opening; if a local vendor's bid is within 10% of the lowest non-local bid, both parties may submit best and final offers.

Contractors must furnish all brick materials and locate comparable matches when originals are unavailable. Work must comply with Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications (Section 526 – Architectural Pavers) and City engineering standards.
The contract is structured as an initial three-year term with options to renew for up to two additional one-year terms, contingent on 60 days' written notice before expiration. No guaranteed work quantities are stated. Bid pricing is due as unit prices on eleven line items covering mobilization and maintenance of traffic (capped at 5% of project amount), excavation, clearing and grubbing, concrete, removal and disposal, brick paver removal/repair/installation, new brick pavers, spot leveling, materials-only, and sod installation.
Bid security equal to 10% of the bid amount is required. The successful bidder must provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds unless contract price is less than $100,000. Contractor must maintain Workers' Compensation Insurance per Florida law; Commercial General Liability with minimum $1 million per occurrence (City named as additional insured); and Automobile Liability with the same limits. Contractors must demonstrate a minimum three-year operational history with proper permits and sufficient capacity, equipment, and facilities. Questions are due September 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled August 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams. The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts to primary and secondary responsive and responsible bidders. All bids must be submitted online through the OpenGov Procurement Platform; paper bids are not accepted. The bid opening will be conducted virtually via Teams and broadcast live.
