About this opportunity
The State of Alabama Division of Procurement is requesting bids on 1,444 tons of 1.5" crusher run aggregate for delivery to Freedom Hills Wildfire Management Area in Cherokee, Alabama, with bids due July 27, 2026 and questions due July 21, 2026 at 3:00 PM.
The material specification is limited to 1.5" crusher run aggregate. Delivery is scheduled for one week beginning August 13, 2026 to the site at 4200 White Pike, Cherokee, Alabama 35616, accessible from Highway 72 via County Road 33 and Point Road; locked gates require coordination with Joseph Lambert at (256) 627-3626 (7:00 AM–5:00 PM availability).
The contract will be awarded on an "all or none" basis to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications. Bidders must submit proposals through the Alabamabuys supplier portal and must be registered with that portal prior to bid close. Responses must be submitted with original ink signatures for hard-copy submissions; bidders may not qualify or except any contract terms and conditions. The State of Alabama retains the right to conduct cost realism and price reasonableness analysis. Payment terms are net 30 days in arrears following invoice receipt, subject to state appropriations; the state reserves cancellation rights with 72 hours' notice or immediately for public health and safety threats.
Awarded suppliers must complete E-Verify documentation and submit the State of Alabama Vendor Disclosure Statement. The contractor assumes full liability for its agents, employees, officers, partners, and subcontractors and must indemnify and defend the State from all claims, losses, suits, actions, damages, and costs arising from contractor performance or negligence, except claims arising solely from state fault. Liability limitations do not apply to personal injuries, including death, or property damages. Any requested information must be furnished within five business days of receipt. An Intent to Award will be issued before final award, followed by a five-calendar-day protest period after which the award becomes final.
