The scope encompasses barrier patching and repair work on approximately 2,135 linear feet of roadway spanning the bridge structures (Bridge No. 934155 SB and Bridge No. 934156 NB). Work includes removal of 1,835 linear feet of existing chainlink fencing and installation of 1,835 linear feet of new vertical fencing (FDOT Index 550-010 type); steel sleeve removal and post hole patch repairs (585 square feet); traffic barrier top surface repair (10 linear feet); and traffic barrier face repair (14 square feet). Concrete repairs must utilize trowel-grade, integrally polymer-modified repair mortar (MasterEmaco N 420 CI or approved equal) with integral corrosion inhibitor and comply with FDOT 2026/2027 Design Standards and International Concrete Repair Institute Guidelines No. 310.2R-2013. All exposed reinforcing steel requires water-based epoxy-cementitious bonding agent coating.
The contractor must perform at least 40 percent of total contract work with its own organization. All bids must include OSBD Schedules 1 and 2 identifying subcontractors with dollar amounts or SBE designation; proposal form with contractor certification; local preference certification; bid bond; active Florida business license; certificate of resolution; qualifications and experience documentation demonstrating at least two similar projects completed within the last five years, resumes of key staff at superintendent level and above, and equipment schedule or rental letters; and E-Verify certification. The contract includes apprentice incentive payments of up to 20 percent of apprentice wages (maximum $100,000) and Glades resident incentive payments of up to 30 percent of new employee wages (maximum $100,000). Requests for Information must be submitted at least five working days prior to bid opening to ENG-RoadwayBids@pbc.gov.
