About this opportunity
Collier County Procurement Services Division in Florida is requesting information on large-scale modernization of the county's physical security infrastructure across 83 countywide locations, with responses due October 12, 2026. This is a non-binding RFI gathering vendor input on system architecture and integration approaches; no formal procurement timeline, site visits, or award date are specified.
The scope spans replacement and integration of legacy Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control Systems (ACS), Emergency Call Boxes, Burglar Alarm systems, and IP Videowall technologies into a unified, event-driven enterprise security platform. The county currently operates approximately 1,175 cameras managed by a Pelco Endura VMS environment; a JCI P2000 access control system supporting 894 doors; an existing Lenel system managing 547 doors under evaluation for retention or migration; approximately 210 Code Blue Emergency Call Boxes across 71 locations; 24 of 40 legacy burglar alarm systems requiring replacement; and a legacy videowall requiring upgrade to 4K event-driven capability in the operations center. The modernized platform must support 5.5 petabytes of usable RAID-6 storage for 24/7 recording with 30-day retention.
Responses must address detailed narratives on vendor project experience, VMS platform recommendations, ACS migration strategies, cross-system event orchestration, cybersecurity standards aligned with county policy, phased migration methodology, documentation and training programs, warranty and support terms including 24/7 availability, and long-term sustainability planning. The county explicitly requests no pricing information in RFI responses. Submissions must be electronic through the Collier County Procurement Division Online Bidding System at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/collier-county-fl, accompanied by a signed transmittal letter on vendor letterhead with company and contact information.
