About this opportunity
Buffalo Zoo is requesting quotations for a turnkey security camera system restoration and upgrade project, with proposals due November 2, 2026. The scope spans approximately 132 existing cameras across the grounds with installation of 3,100 feet of new 2-inch conduit, replacement of 26 non-functioning cameras, new networking equipment (one 16-port PoE+ switch and two 4-port outdoor PoE switches with battery backup), approximately 3,100 linear feet of new direct burial Cat6 cable and multi-mode fiber optic cabling, and approximately 15 new 8-foot stainless steel fence posts with mounting hardware, junction boxes, and seal-tight connections.
Proposers must submit detailed scope of work, complete turnkey cost breakdown itemizing labor and materials separately, signed Contractor Code of Conduct form, insurance certificates documenting project-scope coverage, warranty information for materials and labor, material specifications with data sheets, expected material lifespans, projected work duration for each phase, and potential commencement dates. Failure to include required submission documents results in bid disqualification. Work is conducted during normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with scheduling adjustments based on animal welfare requirements.
Site visits are available by prior arrangement with Will Guagliardo, Safety & Compliance Manager, at (716) 995-6140 or wguagliardo@buffalozoo.org. No incumbent contractor is identified. No contract value, contract term, or evaluation criteria are specified in the source materials. The RFQ file was posted September 30, 2026.
