About this opportunity
Renewable Water Resources in Greenville County, South Carolina is soliciting proposals for boiler inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair services across four facilities (Pelham, Gilder Creek, Mauldin Road, and Lower Reedy), with proposals due July 31, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. local time under RFP 592.
The scope encompasses annual inspection and maintenance services on a lump-sum basis, with a mandatory 20-item checklist covering temperature control, limit controls, flow switches, low-water detection, natural-gas and digester-gas switches, UV scanner operation, ignition systems, flame-failure detection, gas-valve leaking tests, pilot-failure tests, burner control and efficiency checks, internal fire-retardant seal assessment, internal tube evaluation, door-condition assessment, and external thermostat calibration verification. Repair work identified during inspections will be charged on an hourly labor rate plus actual material costs, without truck charges or fuel surcharges. Emergency repairs are billed at the established hourly rate. The vendor must provide comprehensive insurance: $1,000,000 automobile liability, $1,000,000 comprehensive general liability with $2,000,000 aggregate, $1,000,000 umbrella liability, South Carolina statutory workers' compensation, $1,000,000 pollution liability, $1,000,000 cyber insurance, and $500,000 crime insurance.
Evaluation criteria are vendor past performance, service costs, vendor qualifications, and resource availability. ReWa reserves the right to award in whole or in part and may shortlist two vendors if evaluation criteria are close. Inspection and maintenance work is typically scheduled in the fall.
A mandatory virtual pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for July 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a ride-around tour location to be determined during that meeting. Written inquiries are due by July 23, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. local time. Proposals must be submitted electronically via the ReWa PlanetBids portal.
