About this opportunity
The State of Utah Division of Purchasing, in collaboration with the Division of Wildlife Resources, is seeking a vendor to procure and deliver approximately 1,931 tons of 12-18 inch rock to Quichapa Lake, located west of Cedar City, Utah. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is targeted at selecting a single contractor through a lowest total cost evaluation methodology. The procurement is specifically for rock delivery, with a strict requirement not to exceed the specified tonnage. The contract is set to be awarded by August 31, 2025, with vendors required to guarantee pricing for the entire project duration. The bid submission deadline is August 5, 2025, and while a mandatory site visit is not required, potential vendors must carefully review the attached documentation, including the Scope of Work, Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, and Vendor Prerequisites. The procurement process will focus on identifying a responsive and responsible vendor who can meet the precise rock specification and delivery requirements for the project.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly outlined in the provided documentation. The contract appears to be open to standard commercial vendors capable of meeting the rock procurement and delivery specifications. While bid results documents are attached, they do not definitively indicate incumbent vendors or previous contract holders. The procurement appears to be a straightforward material supply contract with a precise volume requirement of 1,931 tons of rock. Although a specific budget range is not detailed, the contract's value would be determined by the per-ton pricing submitted by responsive bidders. The geographic scope is limited to delivery at Quichapa Lake near Cedar City, Utah, suggesting a localized procurement effort focused on specific geological material requirements for what is likely an infrastructure or conservation project.
