About this opportunity
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Procurement Office is requesting bids on two ALCOR fixed wavelength lasers under an IFB, with bids due June 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. EST. No set-aside or preference program restricts eligibility, though South Carolina or U.S. end-product preferences are available to vendors meeting specified requirements.
The scope specifies two laser models: the ALCOR 920-2-XSight (920 nm, 2.5W, with >2.12 W after AOM) and the ALCOR 1064-2-XSight (1064 nm, 2 W, with >1.7 W after AOM), or approved equivalents compatible with the Bruker Nano Ultima Investigator Plus Laser Scanning Microscope system. Lasers must fit within approximately 1.5 feet by 3 feet on an optical/anti-vibration table. All items must be new and include manufacturer's standard written warranties. The contractor must provide operational manuals and technical support available within two business days of request. Contractor personnel must obtain MUSC identification badges at the contractor's expense prior to contract commencement, including background checks and possible drug and tuberculosis testing.
This is a one-time purchase with delivery to MUSC Basic Science Building in Charleston, South Carolina within ninety days of purchase order receipt. Pricing must be submitted in U.S. dollars with fixed pricing for the contract duration. F.O.B. destination applies with risk of loss at the receiving site; no sales tax should be included. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Vendors must be registered as South Carolina vendors and submit a signed cover page and page two with their offer. A non-mandatory virtual pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. EST via Microsoft Teams. Questions are due June 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EST. The anticipated award date is July 7, 2026.
