About this opportunity

The Pennsylvania Department of Assets & Infrastructure is soliciting bids to install a prefabricated concrete shelter on the grounds of the Coroner's Office at the Public Safety Training Campus in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, with proposals due September 10, 2026. The precast concrete building producer must hold plant certification from the National Precast Concrete Association, the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, or an equivalent organization — a capability filter that restricts the bidder pool.

The scope is a 12-by-20-foot precast concrete structure serving as a mausoleum for unclaimed cremains, including installation on a prepared concrete foundation and construction of a short concrete sidewalk from the parking area. The building must be EASI-SET brand or an approved equivalent. The exterior finish is an architectural precast concrete brick pattern imprinted in the form, finished with water-based acrylic stain in brick red to match the main building's existing architecture. Materials include 5,000 PSI minimum 28-day compressive-strength steel-reinforced concrete, ASTM A615 grade 60 reinforcing steel, and post-tensioned roof and floor panels using proprietary second-generation design. The building incorporates double insulated metal doors (3 feet wide by 6 feet 8 inches tall) with stainless steel hardware, and all exterior joints are sealed with DOW CORNING 790 silicone sealant. The design must comply with ACI-318-11, ASCE/SEI 7-10, IBC 2012, and other referenced standards, with design loads specified for either Case 1 (Typical) or Case 2 (Heavy) conditions.

All submissions, questions, and pre-bid information are submitted and posted through the Bonfire/Euna online portal. No estimated contract value, incumbent, timeline for questions or pre-bid meetings, or evaluation criteria are provided in the source.
