About this opportunity
This state and local contracting opportunity is an addendum to a bid issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the Sand Placement project at Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. The project involves the placement of sand on the beach, and the addendum removes the requirement to wash the sand. Instead, the contractor must make 3,000 cubic yard stockpiles available at the mine for sampling and analysis by the engineer at least 14 days in advance. The engineer reserves the right to reject any stockpile based on the analysis results, and no material from a rejected stockpile may be used. If no rejection is received within 14 days, the contractor may proceed with loading and transporting the material to the project site for placement on the beach. All other contract documents remain in full force and effect, and the signed acknowledgment of receipt must be included with the bid submission, or the bid may be rejected.
The contract opportunity is open to all qualified contractors, and there are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor or contractor is not specified, and there is no information provided about any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The award value or budget range for this project is also not provided in the information given.
