About this opportunity
My Health My Resources of Tarrant County (MHMR), a local mental health and developmental disabilities authority, is requesting proposals for ADA consultant services to evaluate and implement accessibility compliance across its 29 facilities totaling approximately 348,000 square feet in Tarrant County and surrounding areas, with proposals due August 6, 2026 at 2:30 p.m.
Qualified proposers must demonstrate a minimum of five years of ADA consulting experience, facility accessibility audit experience, and ability to interpret architectural drawings. Preference is given to consultants with prior experience serving local mental health or intellectual and developmental disability authorities. Preferred certifications include Certified Access Specialist (CASp), CPACC, registered architect or professional engineer status, and ADA Coordinator Training Certification.
The scope encompasses on-site accessibility assessments at group homes, clinics, offices, multi-use buildings, and community resource units; detailed assessment reports with deficiency inventories and photographic documentation; development of an ADA Transition Plan with prioritized remediation strategies and cost estimates; and educational materials and training to stakeholders. Pricing must be itemized for all items, with vendors noting any rate fluctuations if fewer than all 29 facilities are surveyed.
The initial contract term is one year with three optional one-year renewal periods. Proposals will be evaluated on a 100-point scale: responsiveness to the RFP (25 points), qualifications and past performance (40 points), compatibility of staffing plan with specifications (15 points), and price (20 points). Proposals must include three professional references from organizations with similar scope, preferably governmental agencies with over 2,000 employees, along with W-9, Certificate of Insurance, financial documentation, Deviation Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and Reference Form. Questions were due July 24, 2026. Anticipated award is contingent upon committee and board approval.
