About this opportunity
The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids for the 2025 Tree Planting project, which involves planting 50 trees of various species within the public right-of-way. This procurement opportunity is being conducted through PennBID, with electronic bids accepted until September 10, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. local time. Potential bidders must submit a Statement of Experience/Qualifications and an Anti-Collusion Affidavit as part of their proposal package. The project manual, which is 13MB in size, provides detailed specifications and requirements for the tree planting initiative. Bidders will be evaluated based on their demonstrated experience in municipal tree planting, their ability to source and plant diverse tree species, and their compliance with the township's specific planting guidelines and technical requirements.
While no specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions are explicitly mentioned in the available documentation, bidders will need to demonstrate professional competency through their submitted experience qualifications. The project appears to be open to qualified landscaping, arborist, or municipal tree planting contractors with proven capability to execute large-scale urban forestry projects. The scope suggests a relatively modest budget, likely in the range of $50,000-$100,000, though the exact project budget is not specified in the provided documents. Interested contractors should carefully review the 13MB project manual to understand the full technical specifications, including details about tree species selection, planting techniques, and post-planting maintenance requirements. Potential bidders are advised to thoroughly examine all attached documents and ensure complete compliance with the township's procurement guidelines.
