The estimated contract cost is $1.2 million. Bidders must submit security equal to at least 10 percent of their bid. Prevailing wage rates determined by the California Department of Industrial Relations apply; contractors must pay the higher of state prevailing wage or federal minimum wage.
Buy America requirements apply to manufactured products, iron and steel products, and certain construction materials, with contractors required to submit certificates of compliance. Environmental requirements include lead compliance plans, management of aerially deposited lead in minimal disturbance areas, and disposal of hazardous waste residue from yellow thermoplastic and lead-based painted traffic stripes at Class 1 California facilities. Traffic control requirements include designated lane closures on Route 60 eastbound and westbound, with restrictions during the 2028 LA Olympics (June 1 to September 1, 2028) and specified special events.
