Applicants must develop updated and new training materials, create workshops and webinars, support training delivery, and identify agricultural field opportunities for EPA crop tours to improve the efficiency and consistency of EPA's pesticide registration and review processes. Evaluation will be conducted on a 100-point scale assessing project description and scope (5 points), program design (35 points), project milestone schedule (10 points), outreach and sustainability (10 points), programmatic capability (20 points), and budget adequacy (20 points). Applications must be submitted through Grants.gov by March 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET, with selection notifications anticipated in June 2026 and award notifications in July 2026. Required submissions include a project narrative not exceeding 40 pages, SF-424 and SF-424A forms, EPA Key Contacts Form 5700-54, EPA Form 4700-4, and resumes for key staff.
Up to one cooperative agreement award of $200,000 total will be made, distributed at $100,000 per year for two years, with no cost sharing required. The project timeline spans two years from award through completion, with recipients expected to develop and deliver training materials and workshops during this period. Performance of work will take place at the awardee institution, with training delivery occurring both at the recipient's location and potentially at other venues including EPA facilities and agricultural sites selected for crop tours.
