About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a Special Notice regarding its intent to award a succeeding lease using other than full and open competition for the Fayetteville Vet Center, an existing lease located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the VA's plan to either relocate the Vet Center to an alternative space if it is economically advantageous, or to pursue a sole source lease acquisition with the current lessor. The new lease term will be 20 years, with 5 years of firm fixed pricing and 15 one-year soft terms. The VA is requiring the new lease to commence on or before February 16, 2025. Interested parties are instructed to submit expressions of interest to Lease Contracting Officer Barry Butler by June 17, 2024. The VA will consider the cost of moving and tenant improvements when deciding whether the Vet Center should relocate.
