About this file

This document is a Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) regarding its intent to award a succeeding lease using other than full and open competition for the Fayetteville Vet Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The current lease for the 6,052 square foot office space is expiring on February 15, 2025. The VA requires the new lease to commence on or before February 16, 2025, with a term of 20 years - 5 years firm fixed price and 15 one-year soft terms. The VA is interested in considering alternative space if it is economically advantageous, but otherwise intends to pursue a sole source lease acquisition with the current lessor. Expressions of interest should be directed to Lease Contracting Officer Barry Butler by June 17, 2024. The VA will consider the cost of moving and tenant improvements when deciding whether the Vet Center should relocate.
