Update #2 · Latest ·
This is a Level of Effort, Cost Plus Fixed Fee Contract with one base year and four one-year options. The required services involve substantial engineering analysis and Peculiar Support Equipment re-design. Thus, there exists a high level of performance uncertainty that precludes the effective use of firm fix pricing. Additionally, the precise tasking is not known at time of contract award but will be identified during the course of performance. The specific problems and issues that drive the tasking arise from test equipment failures and V-22 Aircraft Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) that impact the support equipment. As particular technical issues surface, technical direction letters will explicitly identify task performance.
The Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, the system integrator of the V-22 Aircraft is the only source with the requisite system knowledge, technical data and data rights, experience, aircraft integration information, and engineering expertise to perform the required services.. Awarded Vendors: Bell Boeing Joint Program Office. Contract Award Dollar Amount: $1,217,766.00 plus options with max value of $6,754,484.00. Contract Award Date: 2017-06-06.
