About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior's United States Geological Survey has published a Limited/Sole Source Justification Notice for the acquisition of Tennessee Bean mussel tissue samples. The USGS plans to contract with Dinkins Biological Consulting on a sole source basis to collect tissue samples from the endangered Tennessee Bean mussel. These tissue samples are required to conduct genomic analyses at the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center to support the conservation and propagation efforts for this critically endangered species. Dinkins Biological Consulting was selected as the sole source provider due to their expertise in collecting tissue samples from live endangered mussels, their knowledge of Tennessee Bean populations, and their necessary permits to handle this species. The total value of the sole source contract is redacted.
