About this opportunity
The US Coast Guard is seeking to procure ten units of Support, Absorber AS components (National Stock Number 1560-01-124-6139, Part Number 70219-02166-044) through solicitation number 70Z03825QJ0000434. This is an unrestricted requirement issued as a Request for Quotation under FAR subparts 12.6 and 13, with all responsible sources eligible to submit quotations for consideration. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price purchase order to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer, with technical acceptability evaluated on the contractor's ability to provide new, manufactured commercial items meeting USCG requirements. All parts must be new approved parts accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance in accordance with FAR clause 52.246-15, and contractors must note that no drawings, specifications, or schematics are available from the agency. The solicitation has a response deadline of September 5, 2025, with requested delivery by December 1, 2025.
This procurement does not utilize any small business set-aside designations despite falling under NAICS code 336413 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The initial order quantity is ten units, but the Coast Guard reserves the right under FAR 52.217-6 to unilaterally exercise options for up to ten additional units at the same price and lead time, bringing the maximum potential quantity to twenty units within 365 days of the initial award. The government file indicates the parts are manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, though this does not necessarily identify the incumbent contractor for this specific procurement. Performance will involve delivery to the USCG Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, with specific packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements outlined in the terms and conditions. The contract falls under the airframe structural components category and addresses critical aviation maintenance needs for Coast Guard operations.
