About this opportunity
The United States Embassy in Mexico City is seeking a vendor to supply stanchions, signs, and related accessories for crowd control operations at the New Embassy Compound's Consular spaces. The procurement requires delivery, assembly, and installation services for both indoor and outdoor areas that serve over 4,000 daily consular users across multiple pavilions including Visas, American Citizens, and Consular sections. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission, as failure to maintain active registration will render proposals non-responsive. The government will evaluate proposals using lowest-priced, technically acceptable criteria and may award the contract based on initial offers without discussion. The deadline for questions is September 3, 2025 at 12:00 hrs local time, while proposals must be submitted by September 8, 2025 at 16:00 hrs local time via email to the designated contracting officer.
This solicitation does not utilize any small business set-aside designation and is open to all responsible sources meeting the requirements. The contract calls for 356 total stanchions with specific requirements including stainless steel construction (both 201 and 304 grades), polished finishes, 100cm minimum post heights, and 2-meter retractable fabric belts in red, dark blue, and black colors featuring the Consular Affairs logo. Additional items include 19 sign holders and frames, plus 4 transportation carts capable of holding 20-24 posts each. The delivery timeline is tentatively scheduled for Fall 2025, with installation work limited to three consecutive days between 8:00-15:00 hours including a mandatory lunch break. All work will be performed at the U.S. New Embassy Compound in Mexico City, Mexico, with the contractor required to provide all necessary tools, materials, and personnel while embassy staff provide security escorts.
