About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
NORAD and USNORTHCOM are seeking information from vendors about new Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) technologies for an experiment called FALCON PEAK 2025 (FP25) to be hosted in fall 2024. Interested vendors are invited to submit white papers that describe the maturity of their technology, anticipated performance, and how it will meet the goals of FP25, which include evaluating sensor systems to detect, track, identify, and defeat Group 1 and 2 sUAS. Submissions should be sent by August 4, 2024, and selected respondents may be invited to participate in FP25 and considered for further engagement, which could include a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA).
Paragraph 2:
This opportunity is not set aside for any specific business type. The Pre-solicitation Notice does not mention any potential incumbents or current contractors. The notice does not provide any information about award values or budget ranges, as this is a Request for Information (RFI) rather than a solicitation for proposals. The focus is on gathering information about available C-sUAS technologies to inform future government decisions regarding their procurement.
Notice text
NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N&NC) is seeking information from vendors about new Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) technologies for a fall 2024 experiment hosted by NORAD and USNORTHCOM. Interested vendors are invited to submit white papers addressing the following points which are provided in required detail in the RFI attachment:
- Describe why the technology is needed and the problem you are solving.
- Describe the “so what” or what is new or advanced in your approach and why it will meet FP25 goals.
- Describe the maturity of your technology and, if applicable, what is needed to take your technology to the next level (e.g., R&D funding, procurement, etc.).
- Describe anticipated performance and any other pertinent details about your technology.
Potential Outcome: The information gathered through this RFI may be used to inform future government decisions regarding C-sUAS technologies. Respondents may be considered for further engagement, which could include, but is not limited to, a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA). However, submission of a response to this RFI does not guarantee selection for a CRADA or any other form of contract or agreement.
Submission Instructions: Please see attached RFI for full requirements for submission and consideration. Submissions should be sent to NORAD-USNC-FalconPeak@groups.mail.mil
by 1700 MDT 4 August 2024. Please include all required information and follow the submission format outlined in this notice.
For inquiries, contact Jason Mayes at NORAD-USNC-FalconPeak@groups.mail.mil.
