About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has issued a Special Notice for a Sole Source procurement of Missile Tube Umbilical Penetrator Inserts. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order to Teledyne Technologies, the only known approved manufacturer, for a base year and one option year.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to solicit market information and assess the feasibility of a sole source award to Teledyne Technologies for this requirement. NUWCDIVNPT has determined that Teledyne Technologies is the only approved manufacturer and that transitioning to a new vendor would result in significant delivery delays to the Fleet. The procurement is unrestricted and has a NAICS code of 332721 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Interested offerors must submit pricing, shipping costs, and other details by August 23, 2024. The Government will consider all responsible sources, but a determination to compete this requirement in the future is solely at the Government's discretion.
