About this opportunity
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is procuring specialized electronic hardware components through RFQ N6660425Q0004 on a sole-source basis from Curtiss-Wright DS, Inc. The procurement includes five XMC-554 Mezzanine Storage Modules, five 6U VPX Single Board Computers, two Rear Transition Models for VPX 1961 Single Board Computer, one RHEL 8.6 BSP, and one Annual Support for VPX 1961 Single Board Computer. This requirement falls under NAICS Code 334418 for Printed Circuit Assembly Manufacturing and will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price contract without competition due to the need to maintain component compatibility and Curtiss-Wright's policy against resellers. The government has determined that the impacts to budget and schedule from switching manufacturers would be too costly to offset potential savings from competition. Quotes must be submitted electronically via email by 12:00 PM Eastern on October 1, 2025, and this solicitation constitutes the only announcement with no separate written solicitation to follow.
This procurement is not designated as a set-aside and is being conducted on an unrestricted basis as concurred by NUWCDIVNPT's Office of Small Business Programs. Curtiss-Wright DS, Inc. (CAGE Code 0Y9V5) is the sole intended contractor, and the government specifically notes that Curtiss-Wright does not authorize resellers, further justifying the sole-source approach. While no specific contract value is disclosed in the available documentation, the procurement involves multiple quantities of specialized electronic components with deliveries required F.O.B. Destination. The contractor will perform services on-site at NUWCDIVNPT in Newport, Rhode Island, with access instructions provided as an attachment to the solicitation. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is 750 employees, and payment will be processed through the Wide Area Workflow system.
