About this opportunity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is conducting market research to determine the availability of small businesses capable of grading digital retinal images. The contractor will be required to develop a grading protocol, access and grade images in a secure environment, and provide quarterly status reports. Responses are due by 3pm Eastern Time on October 16, 2024 via email to Michael Gilham at ueh8@cdc.gov.
This is not a set-aside contract, and the CDC has not named any potential incumbents or current contractors. The contract has a 1-year base period, three 1-year option periods, and a 6-month closeout period. Approximately 2,200 participants aged 45 and over, and 18-44 with self-reported diabetes, will have images obtained per year from 2025-2028. The contractor must have experience grading fundus photos and OCT images and use current technology/software. All work must be performed within the U.S. and remain within a secure government-provided environment.
