About this opportunity
The National Park Service is soliciting proposals through Amendment 3 of Prospectus CC-DINOXXX-26 to award up to 11 concession contracts for providing guided interpretive whitewater river trips within Dinosaur National Monument. The Department of the Interior's National Park Service Intermountain Region is seeking qualified contractors to deliver these recreational services with an anticipated contract effective date of January 1, 2026. Interested parties must submit questions by June 30, 2025, provide notice of intent to propose by July 28, 2025, and submit electronic proposals through the NPS Microsoft Teams platform by August 19, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The prospectus outlines specific business opportunity terms and conditions, with all communication directed to Jennifer Parker at imr_concessions@nps.gov. Amendment 3 extends the proposal submission deadline from the previously established August 12, 2025 date and includes additional question responses that were inadvertently omitted from earlier amendments.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified bidders. The solicitation references existing concessioners who are already included on the contact list for updates and amendments, though specific incumbent names are not disclosed in the notice. The contract opportunity involves multiple awards with up to 11 separate concession contracts available, indicating a substantial scope of operations across different areas or time periods within the national monument. Services will be performed at Dinosaur National Monument, located in Dinosaur, Colorado, with the whitewater river trip operations classified under NAICS code 713990 for All Other Amusement and Recreation Industries. The procurement falls under PSC category M1FB for Operation of Recreational Buildings, reflecting the commercial nature of the guided interpretive services within the national park system.
