About this opportunity
The Department of Energy Office of Science has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking qualified contractors to provide Plura Pump Operator services for epoxy coating work inside a water tower. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or guarantee of contract award. The DOE requires a qualified technician experienced with operating and maintaining Plural Component Spray Pump Systems, such as Graco XP70 or equivalent equipment, for applying epoxy coatings in confined and elevated environments. Interested vendors must demonstrate technical capability with plural component pump operation, familiarity with epoxy systems for water infrastructure, relevant safety certifications including OSHA training for confined space entry and fall protection, and provide past performance references. Responses are due by July 18, 2025, via email to aghimiray@bnl.gov with specific submission requirements including company profile, technical capabilities, certifications, availability, and optional rough order of magnitude pricing.
This procurement opportunity has no set-aside designation and falls under NAICS code 238320 for Painting and Wall Covering Contractors. The RFI does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific award values or budget ranges. Vendors are requested to provide rough order of magnitude pricing for labor rates or daily rates for qualified operators, though this information is optional. The project involves applying epoxy coatings to interior surfaces of an elevated water tower to meet operational, safety, and durability standards. Response submissions are limited to no more than five pages in PDF or Word format, and the DOE will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in preparing responses to this notice.

Description:
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued solely for information and planning purposes. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or Request for Quote (RFQ). This RFI does not obligate the Department of Energy (DOE) to award a contract, nor will the Government pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.
