About this opportunity

This solicitation seeks proposals to replace exterior lighting at the San Juan National Historic Site in Puerto Rico. The National Park Service Southeast Region intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to provide all labor, materials and equipment to replace 74 in-ground uplights, 12 pedestal-mounted floodlights and 17 wall-mounted luminaires with energy efficient, color-tunable LED fixtures. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical approach, past performance, and cost, with technical features emphasized over price. The closing date for receipt of proposals is September 3, 2021.

The contract action has been set aside for total small business participation. The place of performance is San Juan, Puerto Rico. The solicitation anticipates award of a contract between $250,000 to $500,000 to be completed within a 120-day period of performance beginning in September 2021. Wage determinations are provided for construction labor categories applicable to Puerto Rico. References will be contacted to assess the prime contractor's past performance on similar lighting replacement projects for the National Park Service.
