About this opportunity

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Acquisition and Grant Services is soliciting quotes for a proteomic analysis of cancer patient plasma samples through a full and open competition. The National Center for Toxicological Research requires a contractor to perform quantitative proteomics measurement of cardiotoxicity biomarkers using highly sensitive multiplex immunoassays. The analysis must comprehensively examine over 5,000 proteins across 100 plasma samples, utilizing next-generation sequencing techniques with the capability to measure proteins in less than 10 microliters of plasma. Contractors must be prepared to deliver detailed analysis results in parquet files within 60 days of sample receipt, with the FDA retaining full intellectual property rights to the generated data. The solicitation (Number 75F40125Q00169) is classified under NAICS code 541380, with a small business size standard of $19.0 million, and requires exceptional data quality and protein quantification across multiple biological processes.

The contract is a one-time analysis with no set-aside designations and no option periods, to be performed at the contractor's facility in Jefferson, Arkansas. The solicitation was posted on June 6, 2025, with proposal responses due by June 20, 2025. No installation or training will be required at the contractor's location, and the entire project focuses on a single comprehensive analysis of the plasma samples. The contractor will be responsible for comparing bridging samples and achieving high-level multiplexing while maintaining rigorous scientific standards. Deliverables will include a comprehensive report of sample analysis results, detailing the study design, experimental conditions, and results for each of the over 5,000 proteins analyzed, to be submitted electronically via email or downloadable link.

Notice text
