About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring 5 units of Signal Processors under NSN 0R-5895-017091732-P8. This procurement involves Critical Safety Items subject to DFARS clause 252.209-7010 and requires government-approved sources of supply, with any distributors needing to provide authorized distributor letters at proposal submission. The agency intends to conduct a sole source procurement under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though responsible sources may express interest within 45 days of the notice posting date. The procurement includes FOB origin delivery terms and incorporates various DFARS and DLAD clauses for contractor business systems and product verification testing. The solicitation was posted on May 15, 2025, with a due date of October 16, 2025.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and appears to be a full and open competition despite the sole source intent notation. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the notice. The procurement quantity is limited to 5 units, and the government has indicated that the part design is unstable with anticipated engineering and manufacturing changes that will render the current configuration obsolete. The agency notes that limited acquisition from the present source is expected pending these configuration changes, suggesting this may be a bridge procurement while design modifications are completed. Government inspection and acceptance will be conducted at the source location.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, quotationsor capability statements.
