About this opportunity
Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit a plug assembly (magnetic) under NSN 0Q-2995-016240397-CL, with proposals due July 20, 2026, contingent on Government source approval prior to award as this is a flight-critical item.
The Government does not possess sufficient, accurate, or legible technical data to support full and open competition and has determined that only previously Government-approved sources for this item have been solicited. Quantity required is 7 units with FOB Origin delivery. The item is classified as Miscellaneous Engine Accessories, Aircraft (PSC 2995).
Only approved sources may compete. Vendors not currently approved by the Government must submit source-approval documentation with their proposal, selecting from NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) source-approval information brochures for either spares or repair, depending on company experience and production history. Proposals lacking complete source-approval data as specified in the applicable brochure will not receive award consideration. Contractors with source-approval requests already under evaluation at NAVSUP WSS should submit a copy of the cover letter forwarding that request alongside their offer.
The Government notes that if source-approval evaluation cannot be completed in time or approval requirements prevent timely item delivery, award may proceed based on Fleet support needs using existing approved sources. Vendors should reference the NAVSUP WSS business opportunities portal for detailed source-approval requirements and submission procedures.
