About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 4 concerns upgrades to overhead patient lift systems at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. The agency seeks to replace 67 existing lifts and install 17 new lifts from Arjo, Inc. through their authorized distributor Alliant Enterprises on a firm-fixed price basis.
The upgrades are necessary to maintain compatibility with the existing proprietary track infrastructure and ensure ongoing patient and staff safety, as the current fleet of Arjo lifts is reaching the end of its useful lifespan. Only Arjo lifts can properly interface with the installed track system. Interested contractors must review the sole source justification attached in order to understand the basis for restricting competition to Arjo as the original equipment manufacturer and Alliant as the sole authorized distributor. The anticipated award value and deadline for proposals are [dollar amount] and July 11, 2023, respectively.
